A safe and highly beneficial therapy, Indian Head Massage uses massage techniques to soothe and rebalance the energy flow in order to produce a feeling of peace and tranquillity.

This massage relaxes the scalp, can help to relieve eye strain and headaches. Different movements are utilised to increase circulation and remove toxins; break down tension nodules and therefore assists pain relief; instil a deep sense of relaxation, invigorate and boost concentration and mental fatigue as well as calming the nervous system to allow more restful sleep.

Because it can be performed in a chair it is particularly suitable for those who are wheelchair bound or the elderly, and can be carried out anywhere. However, as with any holistic therapy there may be some people who are unable to receive this type of treatment due to contra-indications (a condition that would be aggravated, cause harm or result in the cross infection of others). This would be discussed with the individual during a consultation and an extra 15 minutes is allocated for the first treatment to allow for a full medical history to be taken.
